Matt Drudge is, in the opinion of the creators of this blog, a purveyor and to some extent shaper of low to middle-brow right-leaning discourse in America. His Drudge Report is a collection of carefully (though occasionally irresponsibly) worded headlines that focus on issues that reflect the opinions of this large segment of the American population. In doing so, the Drudge Report successfully and consistently taps into discursive themes ranging from concerns over immigration, to the fear of a rising China, to the skepticism surrounding climate change, to the outrage over a variety of so-called values issues.

The discourse of the Drudge Report, in the opinion of the creators of this blog, provides an excellent window into the current concerns and opinions of an important segment of American society.
